Why it exists
Clearing Compass started from a simple problem. We are parents with children heading to university in 2026. Like many families, we wanted a clear plan for results day — something that removed the panic and uncertainty.
When we couldn't find anything that did that properly, we built it.

The dataset is based on 2023, 2024 and 2025 clearing information and has been updated ahead of August 2026 results day. Entry requirements can change year to year — always check live UCAS vacancies on results day.

Who is it for?
Any student going through the 2026 UCAS clearing process. Whether you didn't get the grades for your offer, have no offer and are entering clearing directly, or want to upgrade after better-than-expected results. There's also a medicine-specific track for UCAT applicants.
Does it work for medicine?
Yes. The app has a dedicated medicine clearing section covering UCAT requirements, historically participating medical schools, interview preparation, and the specific rules around medicine clearing (verbal offer before UCAS acceptance, same-day interviews, etc).

When your grades arrive, you enter them and the app shows which universities are realistic, ranked by fit, with verified hotlines and a call script for each.

The more you put in before results day, the more personalised your plan is. Add your grades, shortlist universities you like, and set your subject interests. Then on results day you just enter your final grades and tap "Find My Clearing Matches."
